Lab 5A
The purpose of this lab was to identify a mystery substance from limited data. It helped me to get used to conversions involving moles which I have little prior experience with. With both bags we were only given the weight and another variable. With the first bag we calculated the weight of each atom as we were given moles also and by getting the amu we were able to determine the compound. The second bag was slightly harder as we were given the weight and the number of atoms so we had to do a little more converting. We had bag "A6" which was Sodium Sulfate and bag "B3" which was Potassium Sulfate.
